Fort Worth Star - Telegram The IntelaVoice™ lets people turn a light on and off by saying "lights." The IntelaVoice™ is so smart that it also lets users use voice commands to switch on and off other products such as radios, televisions, fans and other small appliances.

The IntelaVoice™ responds to anyone's commands. It's a stand-alone device that looks kind of like a computer mouse and is about the same size. It plugs into a standard outlet, and then the device plugs into it.

IntelaVoice™ is made by VOS Systems Inc. of Poway, Calif., and carries a suggested retail price of $29.95. The company also sells a $9.95 external microphone, called the LiteMic™, to amplify the user's voice if the IntelaVoice™ device is in a hard-to-hear spot like behind a couch or under a desk.
