The newest manifestation of no-hands control is IntelaVoice, a voice-activated light switch made b y VOS Systems of California.

The IntelaVoice works with lights, radios, televisions, and other appliances.  Plug it into any standard outlet, and any lamp or small appliance that is plugged into it will respond to your commands.

The switch can be activated by anyone's voice.  It requires no training. It works with incandescent and fluorescent lights, as well as lights with dimmers.
